CSM: An Overview
    There are several places in Setup where you may need to configure CSM options, depending on how fully you want to use the CSM features. The relevant options are summarised below.

Most options can be set globally, some require setting on each machine individually.
     
    Note To log Service Management calls you must have an appropriate Activation code.

    Sets the folders where jobs will be created.

    Defines the Warranties and their conditions; used to determine the response time for a job. Also sets the contents of the Asset Warranty Type drop-list field of the Details screen.

    Sets the names of the sub-folders that branch from a main Assets branch of the database. Also sets the contents of the Asset Category drop-list field of the Details screen.

    Sets a user's skill level for a particular Asset type, used to determine each user's ability to deal with a job.

Top   HTML forms
    Sets the locations of Job sheets (in HTML format) which can be populated with job details and then printed out for the engineer to take on a job.

    Sets the locations of Survey forms (in HTML format) which can be populated with job details and then printed out for the engineer to take on a job. The details written onto the Survey form can then be entered into the database.

Top   Can allocate jobs
    Sets for each user whether they can allocate jobs to users. If they are given this right, they can edit jobs directly off the Entire CSM Big Board in the To Do screen (which is read-only to users who are not granted this right).

Top   Can be allocated to jobs
    Sets for each user whether they can be allocated to jobs. If they are given this right, they will see a list of jobs that have been allocated to them in the My CSM Big Board in the To Do screen.

    Sets for each user which types of jobs they oversee, to filter which jobs are listed in the Entire CSM Big Board. This option is only used where you have departmental Service Managers.
